Version 2.3.0: Start a document the moment you open it (20 September 2026)
Quotes, invoices and certificates now open straight away, and the AI drafts more of the detail for you.
New: Open a quote, invoice or certificate and start filling it in straight away, with no setup steps first. We only ask for your business details when you send, and only for what that document prints.
Improved: When the AI drafts your line items, it now adds a short description under a line where it helps explain what's included. Ask it to "add a note saying..." and it always will.
Improved: Your card payment setup now stays in step with Stripe, so it always shows its real status.
Improved: When your client downloads a PDF from a quote, invoice or certificate link, it now comes from zappyapp.co.uk and works even if the page has been open for hours.
Fixed: Buttons on your client-facing documents no longer disappear when your brand colour is very light.
Version 2.2.0: Your own numbering, and certificates on the latest standards (16 August 2026)
New: Choose how your invoice, quote and certificate numbers look: your own letters, the year or month, and how many digits.
New: A free invoice generator at zappyapp.co.uk/invoice-generator. No account needed, and VAT, reverse charge and CIS are all handled.
Improved: Certificate forms now follow BS 7671:2018+A4:2026, and emergency lighting follows BS 5266-1:2025. Each certificate records the edition it was issued under.
Improved: Signed up just for the tools? You can now skip the steps that are only needed for finding work.
Fixed: A certificate can no longer be sent without naming who certified the work.
Version 2.1.0: Photos, dark mode and notifications on your phone (9 August 2026)
New: Add a description and photos to any line on a quote or invoice. Photos appear on the page your client opens.
New: Install Zappy on your phone's home screen, and keep working on certificates, quotes and invoices with no signal.
New: Dark mode for your dashboard. Switch it on in Settings.
New: Notifications on your phone for new messages and quote updates, plus one settings page to choose what reaches you by push, email and text.
New: Send us feedback from the sidebar. It goes to a real inbox and we read every message.
Improved: Your dashboard is now split into My Business and Find Work, and moving between screens is faster.
Version 2.0.0: Introducing Zappy Pro (1 August 2026)
Zappy is now the place to run your business, not just to find work. Quotes, invoices and certificates are free to start, with Zappy Pro for more.
New: Zappy Pro: unlimited quotes, invoices and certificates, plus automations and accounting sync, for £7.99 a month. The Free plan includes a monthly allowance of each document.
New: Automations (Pro): follow-ups, payment reminders and certificate renewal emails that send themselves.
New: Send invoices to Xero or QuickBooks automatically (Pro).
New: EV charging point and emergency lighting certificates, alongside EICR, EIC and Minor Works.
New: Every certificate now records when the next inspection is due, and your dashboard shows the renewals coming up.
New: Describe a job and let the AI draft the line items and prices for your quote or invoice.
Improved: When electricians are invited to your job, they only see your postcode area, never your full postcode.
Improved: JobScope AI guides show a clearer price breakdown, including who supplies the fittings.
